Korea Electronic Travel Authorization (K-ETA)
Travelers who are subject to K-ETA should obtain authorization before boarding a flight or vessel bound for the Republic of Korea. Applying at least 72 hours before departure is recommended.
K-ETA Temporary Exemption in 2026
- The temporary exemption for currently eligible countries and regions has been extended through December 31, 2026 (KST).
- Eligible travelers can confirm exemption status after entering passport information during the application process.
- Exempt travelers may still apply for K-ETA for its benefits; the application fee applies.
- Existing K-ETA approvals remain valid until expiration, and paid application fees are non-refundable.
